The Burren is less than a one-hour-car drive from Shannon Airport, about 3 hours from Kerry Airport (via the Kilimer Car Ferry), and about 3 hours from the airports in Cork, Knock, and Dublin.

If you want to bring your own car from the Uk or from the continent you've got a choice of options from a number of ferry routes serving the ports in Cork (3 hrs), Rosslare
(4 hrs.), Dublin(3 hrs.) and Belfast/Larne (Northern Ireland 5-6 hrs.).

Bus
Eireann buses serve Ennis and Shannon Airport from major Irish cities with connecting services to Kilrush, Kilkee, Miltown Malbay and Doonbeg
Dublincoach Express service and Flight Link (Flixbus) connect Dublin City/Airport and Ennis via Limerick
Citylink buses connect the major airports and Galway, Limerick, Dublin and Cork.
Irish Rail offers several connections a day between Dublin and Limerick/Ennis. The Western Rail Corridor connects Limerick and Galway with stops in Sixmilebridge, Ennis, Gort and Athenry. Check out their website for special offers: Irishrail.ie!
